Required for September 2018
Are you looking to progress into leadership?
Then Grestone Academy is for you.
Grestone Academy is a large primary academy with a busy nursery, in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. The Academy is outward looking and keen to embrace new ideas and engage with external partners to provide the best for our children. This is an exciting time to be joining Grestone Academy in such a significant leadership role. The recent November 2017 Ofsted commented that, “Grestone Academy is an improving school” and we are looking to build on the progress to date with the appointment of the new Assistant Head of School.
The successful candidate will have the drive, passion and vision to inspire children’s learning and will have the opportunity to lead and develop provision and practice throughout Early Years and into Year 1. A thorough and excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment procedures is key to understanding how to effectively engage both children and parents on their journey into Year 1. A clear understanding of transition from EYFS into National Curriculum is essential in this role.
We are seeking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic individual with a proven track record in leading and teaching to join our newly formed, friendly and hardworking senior leadership team.
If you are interested in joining us on our journey to make Grestone Academy an excellent centre of learning, we recommend that you visit the academy where you can meet the Heads of School to gain a full understanding of the academy’s context and plans for future success.
